Our Story

Warringah Timbers is a family run business that began operating as a small timber retailer in 1973 from Brookvale, NSW. Originally, Warringah Timbers only dealt in hardwood and Oregon (Douglas fir). In 1979 the company was incorporated and moved to its current location at 9 Inman Road, Dee Why West. As the company expanded, Warringah Timbers purchased the adjacent property to extend the yard. The two properties lie on the border of the suburbs Dee Why and Cromer and straddle a corner - therefore the site can be found listed under the original address on 9 Inman Road, Dee Why or on the adjoining address of 26 Middleton Road, Cromer.

With the expansion of the company came an expansion in the timber product range as well as a detailed milling service. In June 2016, Warringah Timbers joined the AHW (Australian Hardware Wholesalers) group, part of Metcash, enabling a large extension of builder’s hardware products. Warringah Timbers has become one of the largest timber and builder hardware outlets in NSW – still going strong after 49 years.
